I feel as though I have certainly learnt a lot since my preliminary tasks, the images below show my preliminary front cover compared to my music magazine front cover.
There is a clear difference between these two sets of work, firstly, with my school magazine I didn't have another magazine to model from and adapt to, this is a factor in it not looking as professional as my second task.
The front cover of my music magazine is also filled with more text and also the names of popular bands attempt to attract the audience, where as i couldn't do with my prelim. and so I want to replicate this to make my magazine as professional as possible.
You can see from my front cover pictures that I have thought about the positioning and costume for my actor, in my music magazine. I have tried to make the picture appeal to the audience so I have included an instrument to indicate the actor is a musician.

Question 6
I have learned a lot during the process of creating my music magazine such as how to use photoshop effectively to produce a professional magazine. I have learned how to use the majority of tools to develop a magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread. These tools allowed me to do a variety of different thinks to produce my magazine whether it was adding text, creating a background, editing an image or merging two images together and much more.
I also have learned how to use canon cameras efficiently and effectively including how to use rule of thirds to produce an image suitable for a magazine front cover, magazine contents and magazine DPS. This has allowed me to produce some high quality professional images that suit the intended purpose. Rule of thirds has helped me to produce images that are positioned accurately and effectively.
Another technology that I have used that has helped the process of creating my music magazine was the apple mac computers as they have aloud me to upload the photos I have produced and also use photoshop to edit images also to use the tools to build my magazine they have also aloud me to update my blog to show the process of creating my magazine and also to research music magazines to see what content they should consist of and which conventions they should follow.

Overall I think I have learned a lot since creating my prelim magazine that has aloud me to produce a magazine front cover, contents page and DPS spread to a good standard I have used a variety of different technologies during this process to aid my work but without the different technologies I wouldn't of achieved a successful magazine.
Question 5
How did you attract/address your audience?
My media products address's the audience with the use of many different techniques including layout of the magazine which follows the Kerrang style of layout. Another technique my media products use is house style of the magazine as the dark colours show the magazine is aimed at pop punk and indie rock fans, the colours red, white and black are associated with the genre and thats why I used them in my piece
Another technique that is used in my magazine is the bands that are included in my articles as these bands are popular in the pop punk scene, such as Neck Deep and Water Parks and will attract a wider variety of fans.

Question 2
My music magazine is in the rock/pop punk genre in a similar vain to
Kerrang. It represents 15-30 year olds
however leans towards the younger side of the audience. My cover models are
shown to be fitting with the scene, one of the models is wearing an Of Mice
& Men shirt which is a band that would be at home in a Kerrang magazine,
and my other model is wearing an Asking Alexandria shirt, however its not
visible in any of the photos.
I drew inspiration from a few different Kerrang covers and it shows a
fair bit. I decided I wanted a creative shot of my models, like the ones used
in Kerrang so I had my two models work in a few positions until I got the right
one.
I also got my models to look moody to fit with the general vibe of the
magazine. The lighting was a tad off but I fixed it with a black and white
filter, not only did I fix the problem but also I think the black and white
greatly complements the feel of the magazine.

serious and their outfits are fairly similar too, they are wearing dark clothes
